ABOUT
-
Founded by Niko Leung, TMML Studio is a design practice that moves fluidly across disciplines, working with form, surface, and space to explore the relationships between materials, making, and meaning. Across all scales and mediums, our work is driven by a commitment to pushing material possibilities and rethinking how they shape the way we live.
At the heart of our work is Hong Kong Soil, a project that reclaims discarded earth from construction sites, turning what would be waste into lasting forms. This approach informs everything we do - each project is a way of asking: what do we choose to keep, and what do we let go?
Our name, TMML—TOU MIN MEI LOY, means “The Future is Transparent” in Cantonese. To us, transparency is about revealing theunseen—whether it’s the history embedded in a material, the hands that shape it, or the stories it carries forward. We exist to challenge how things are made, to honor what already exists, and to build with intention—so that what we create today carries meaning far beyond tomorrow.
